Established in 1828 is called the "City of Homes". You find original homes
restored of Plantation, Colonial, Greek Revival, Victorian and Craftsman styles
of architecture.
Newnan, GA is a short 30 minute drive southwest of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta
International Airport and a 40 minute drive to downtown Atlanta on I85.
Newnan was incorporated and made the county seat of Coweta County on
December 26, 1823. The city was named for General Daniel Newnan. General
Newnan fought in the Indian Wars, the War of 1812. He also served in the

In 1904 the courthouse was constructed and is has been placed on the
National Register of Historic Places.
